The next Mistborn book centers on the search for the Bands of Mourning, the Lord Ruler’s bracers which would grant extensive allomantic and feruchemical abilities, set against a backdrop of escallating tensions between Elendel and the other cities of the basin. I enjoyed the story expanding beyond Elendel and the mix of politics and action. This book fimrly cemented Steris as my favorite character of this era. One of my frustrations with this era is it’s not obvious to me what the Set actually is other than a mysterious organization. That was distracting in this one, but I enjoyed most of the book.
