The final book in the second Mistborn era is an expected return to rescuing the world from a litany of catastrophic events. Five years after the events of The Bands of Mourning, some things are better, but the Set is still a persistent problem. This was a good story looking at how the events of the previous books tied in to the Cosmere and for the most part I enjoyed it. My two main complaints about the book are that Wayne is incredibly annoying and I was sick of him by the end of four books, and the ending of this book fell flat for me. It seemed like it just ended without the grand spectacle I’d expect for the end of the series.
